Mike Hughes holds a PhD. in Physics from Queens University of Belfast. He has worked in the IT industry marketing for 15 years for companies such as Gateway Computers and Microsoft. He has introduced and marketed literally hundreds of IT products and services throughout Europe. He was responsible for developing and launching the first free dial-up Internet service in Ireland, France and the Netherlands. In addition, Mike managed two of the biggest and most successful product launches in Microsoft Ireland history including award winning Windows Vista launch in 2006. Mike instigated and managed three national IT security awareness campaigns (makeITsecure.ie) with a coalition of major IT industry players and the Department of Communications in Republic of Ireland.
